Cryptocurrency Exchange Cryptocurrency Exchange platform fixes bug that halted payments and withdrawals from US bank accounts

Cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase has fixed a bug that caused it to temporarily halt deposits and withdrawals involving U.S. bank accounts.

The Cryptocurrency Exchange said on Sunday, 1st October at 12:41 p.m. New York time (4:41 p.m. UTC) that the "incident has been resolved," according to Coinbase system status page.

A few hours earlier, the exchange platform had said that, for undetermined technical reasons, "we are currently unable to take deposits or make withdrawals involving US bank accounts. Our team is aware of this bug and is working on getting everything back to normal as soon as possible. Should you wish, you may use a debit card or PayPal account to make direct buys on your account."

The Coinbase Technical Issue was not the only bug in the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem that weekend. Solana also suffered what it called a "major outage," one that lasted for more than six hours, according to Solana website.
